  • Identify challenges related to determining an optimal continuum of care for patients with advanced stage rectal cancer
  • Discuss current and emerging treatments for patients with stage III rectal cancer
  • Distinguish between treatment options for synchronous metastatic rectal cancer versus metasynchronous metastatic rectal cancer
  • Develop an appropriate management regimen for patients with locally advanced rectal cancer with synchronous low volume metastatic disease based on pathologic staging and treatment history
  • Explain the issues that complicate the lines of treatment for patients with previously untreated metastatic rectal cancer
  • Identify new therapies available for those with advanced metastatic rectal cancer and determine patient eligibility based on type and timing of previous therapies
